Repair Receding Gum Line

Repair Receding Gums

Receding gums, that is, many have questioned what this is, why you have it, how to stop it, and how you can get rid of it.

Receding Gums is swelling of the gums. Gingiva in dental terminology is the gums of the mouth. "it is" is a suffix. When added to a name of a body part, it means inflammation of gums, just like, appendicitis, which is an infection of the appendix, or tonsillitis, which is inflammation of the tonsils—the list goes on and also on of things that can be inflamed.

In this condition, receding gums is an inflammation of the gums; this Disease results from the body's response to bacteria which is in the mouth. The mouth generally has many germs present, and most of the time; the germs can live in a symbiotic nature within the oral cavity. The problem begins many times when the accumulation of harmful bacteria starts to appear due to sub-optimum oral hygiene. Still, many other elements may allow a person to develop receding gums even if their oral hygiene is good.

Natural Ways To Repair Receding Gums

In Receding gums, bacteria-related gingivitis causes germs to accumulate above and also within the gum line. The accumulation of bacteria on the tooth is called Oral Plaque." Plaque is a combination and accumulation of foods, bacteria, or other particles that stick to the tooth structure. If Plaque is not cleared away both above and below the gum line, it starts to "aggravate" the gum, which causes the body to begin an inflammatory response to stop receding gums. The body protects against bacteria to try or win the war; this is if you see redness and bleeding as primary signs of receding gums.

The body tries to deliver blood cells to the inflammation site to cure the microbial infection; in this case, bacteria inside the accumulation is dangerous for the tooth. In such a case, bleeding should not be considered something to be fearful of; it is simply the body's way of showing the person something is wrong and doing something to stop it.

In some Receding gums cases, the body can play a part in responding to oral Plaque. In some cases, due to hormonal problems in females, whether during pregnancy, cyclical changes during the menstrual cycle, or perimenopause, a woman's mouth can be very sensitive to the oral Plaque found. They can produce hormone-induced Receding gums very easily. Also, people who have diabetes (type 1 and 2), have other systemic illnesses, and take medications can be at a higher risk for developing receding gums.

Overall, the main activities you should carry out to stop receding gums at home are;

Use an electric toothbrush and brush your teeth three times daily.

Use dental floss once a day; we ensure to clean properly below the gumline.

Mouth rinses, for example, Listerine, which will help in the removal of mouth bacteria that induce Receding gums or a salt-water rinse.

After the meal, you should carry out brushing for a few minutes to help release food or wash it away.

Repair Receding Gums Without Surgery

Many people are aware of the old age to talk to your dental professional every six months for a proper checkup and cleaning. This may not be accurate for several of us who have experienced receding gums in past times.

Research has revealed that three months are less for the development of oral Plaque, which is known as biofilm, or most of us have it on our teeth, below the gumline. The people with a good and healthy mouth, that accumulation will produce no damage. Still, for a big part of people who have receding gums, i.e., gums that bleed, that Six-month interval between cleanings may be too much, or issues to the gums and underlying structures may happen.
